As we bid adieu to Willard's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Willard has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merrill L. Smith and Dorothy M. Smith; his daughter Abbey Meyer (Joel); his grandchildren, Leo and Knox Meyer of St. Louis, MO; his son Dylan Smith of Waterloo, IL.; and his sister Lynne Smith Steppe of Barboursville, VA. He was also cherished by several cousins and dear friends.
As a memorial, any donations could be made in his name to Gibson Gives (http://www.gibsonfoundation.org) to further inspire the power of music through guitars. Willard's body gave donation through Tennessee.
