She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Overton and Fannie Overton; and her sisters, Ann Ridge and Marie Padgett. She is survived by: her husband Boyd Smith; her daughter Jo Terri Wright (Jason) of Decatur, Alabama; her grandson Tyler Wright (Morgan) of Birmingham; and her close friends, Marcia Pickel and Sue Rhodes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West End Church of Christ (8301 E Walker Springs Ln, Knoxville, TN 37923). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Cole Center for Parkinson's and Movement Disorders via the UT Medical Office of Philanthropy.
