He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty "Miss Betty" Blakney and Glenn Blakney; his parents-in-law, Joyce and Glenn Anderson; and his brother-in-law Brad Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Sherri Blakney; his son Todd; his daughter-in-law Tricia Blakney; his siblings, Jeff Blakney (Kathy), Karen Foley (Michael) and Robin Black; his sister-in-law B. J. Anderson; his stepmother Elisabeth "Mimi" Blakney; his nephews, Jordan Foley and Bryan Blakney; and his niece Kelsey Dietzman (Andrew).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loudon County Fire Rescue or an animal shelter of your choice.
