He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rawls and Evelyn Rawls. He is survived by: his wife Melissa May Rawls; his son Thomas Herzog (Heather); his granddaughter Emersyn; his siblings, Sandy Patnode (Bob), Robert Rawls (Ann Marie), Ruth Pepin and Becky Buckley (Reggie); his mother-in-law Judy May; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy May, Melody Camacho (Santos) and Teresa Witkowski.
