He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Will and Flora Freemon; his siblings, Cleda Daniel, Imogene Woodall, James "Sonny" Teat, Verbin Teat and Bob Freemon; and his great grandchild Evelyn Reese Powell.

He is survived by : his wife Cynthia Rooker Freemon; his children, Kristy Reedy (Mark), Scott Freemon (Lisa), Jeff Jenkins (Rachel) and Jimmy Jenkins (Rosemary); his grandchildren, David Jenkins, Meagan McCullough (Ben), Tyler Jenkins, Katelynn Sexton (Nolan), Andrew Carlisle, Tyler Powell, Cody Powell (Paige), Zachary Reedy, Taylor Reedy, Taylen Lance, Kayle Sanders (Elijah) and Lecianna Lance; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home (501 W Gaines St, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
