He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hurt and Bonnie McKinney Hurt; and his sister Dorothy George. He is survived by: his sons, Todd Hurt (Jamison) of Murfreesboro and Jeff Hurt of Lewisburg; his grandchildren, Josephine, Savannah and James; and his siblings, Faye White of Lewisburg and Wayne Hurt of Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Delk-Henson Intermediate School, 425 S Horton Pkwy, Chapel Hill, TN 37034 to be used to purchase yearbooks for students who cannot afford it.
