He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Bob and Alva Mooningham King; his son Michael King; his siblings, Hattie Mae Brown, Olene Dockery, Thomas King and Carl Wayne King; and his daughter-in-law Tonya Watkins King.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jett King; his children, Tommy King of Cornersville, Dianne Krueger (Kent) of Michigan and Marie Tomlin of Lewisburg; his sister Linda Faye Burrow (George) of Lewisburg; his daughter-in-law Tracey Baker King of Lewisburg; and his sister-in-law Elvonda Gipson King of Cornersville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
