He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hayes and Grace Glenn Hayes; and his son Matt Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Helen Curtis Hayes; his daughter Heather Hileman (Arren) of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Hannen Hileman and Hallee Hileman; and his sisters, Brenda Hayes of Lewisburg and Rita Hayes of Lewisburg.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the London Funeral Home and Crematory (324 W Church St, Lewisburg, TN 37091). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lone Oak Cemetery (200 Lone Oak Dr, Lewisburg, TN 37091).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
