As Charlene departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charlene may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charlene leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Whitwell; her parents, Keuble Jewel and Myrtie Bell Jewel; and her brother Finis Wade Jewel. She is survived by: her children, Tommy Whitwell and Charlotte Kizer (Kenneth); and her sister Peggy Parker (Bob). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation (200 Pine Dr, Lexington, TN 38351). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry or the charity of your choosing.
