He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Monroe Whitney and Murtle Alritha Kidd; his siblings, Buddy Whitney, Rose Sue Whitney and Chuck Whitney; and his niece Sheila Pitts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Pat, Ruth, Mike and Cindy; and his children, Tiffany, Ely and Jalayna. He is also survived by friends, nieces, and nephews.
