He was predeceased by: his wife Jewel Gurley; and his parents, Ollie M. Gurley and Jewel Gurley Tyler (Alvis). He is survived by: his children, Wayne Gurley and Elaine Woods (Larry); his brothers, Harold W. Tyler (Carol) and Marshall Tyler (Pam); his sister-in-law Margaret Swindell; his grandchildren, Jason A. Woods (Jennifer), Sara Jackson (Stephen) and Rebecca Patterson (Jon); his great grandchildren, Dylan Woods (Kylie), Kerri Woods (Tyler Bridges), Ellie Grace Jackson, Hadley Jackson, Natalie Jackson, Ava Patterson, Alaina Patterson and Amelia Patterson; and his great great grandchildren, Hazel Bridges and Baylor Bridges.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be given to the Broad Street FHU Scholarship Fund at 131 North Broad Street.
