With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Ray Smith of Lexington, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Floyd Smith and Lula Davis Smith; his siblings, Randy Floyd Smith, Leroy Smith, Sue Climer, Ruby Knight and Shirley Mathis; and his granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Smith and Amelia Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Ann Smith; his children, Robbie Wood (Derek), Bobby Smith (Holly) and Jeremy Smith (Melissa); his grandchildren, Josh Wood, Matthew Wood and Allison Smith; and his sisters, Judy Hensley (late Randall) and Kathy Tubbs (Larry).
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home (71 Monroe St, Lexington, TN 38351). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Beech River Cemetery (3075 Old Huntingdon Rd, Lexington, TN 38351).
