He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Winstead and Orell Winstead. He is survived by: his significant other Donna Winstead; his children, Betsy Winstead Biggs (Brad) and Brad Winstead (Katie); his siblings, Tommie Winstead (Linda) and Patsy Coates; his sister-in-law May Yarbrough; and his grandchildren, Blake Biggs, Carmen Biggs, Braden Winstead and Will Winstead. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in memory of John to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
