He was predeceased by : his parents, James Slayton and Charlotte Slayton; his son Charles Slayton; and his sister Susan Slayton. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Hardy Slayton of Lexington, TN; his children, Jaclyn Cook (Bryan) of Milan, TN, Jason Slayton (Dawn) of Batesville, MS and James Nicholas Slayton of Milan, TN; his stepchildren, Adam White Medina (Amy) and Magan Corbin Medina (Andy); and his sister Connie Lavella (Albert).
