He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Weaver Petty; his children, Michael Petty (Teresa), Susan Hays Blankenship and Cynthia Hays Gilliam (Colby) of Henderson County; his grandchildren, Josh Petty (Bonnie) of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Yearwood (Russ) of Lascassas, Lauren Hamilton (Jake) of Henderson County, Madison Wuckowitsch of Henderson County, Colt Blankenship (Holly) of Henderson County, Aaron Blankenship of Henderson County, Justin Blankensip (Rachel) of Henderson County and Carli Gilliam of Henderson County; his great grandchildren, Aster, Evan, Lucy Yearwood, Poppy Hamilton, Weston, Oakley, Abby, Harrison, Beckham, Granger, Monroe and Asher Blankenship; and his cousin Gladys Weaver Bartsch.
