He was predeceased by : his wife Joyce Marie Johnson; his parents, Jonah Johnson and Lillie Cutshall Johnson; and his siblings, Johnny, Jack, Charles, Lloyd Johnson, Dorothy Johnson, Edna Massey, Marie Snyder, Charlotte Fox, Evelyn Blake and Loretta Johnson.

He is survived by : his nieces, Amanda Foulks and Karen Fox.
