She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Cole and Ruby Cole; her siblings, Charles Cole, David Cole, Joyce Mays, Janie Roberts and Lisa Jennings; and her niece Ladonna Manis.

She is survived by : her husband Gary Whetsell Sr.; her children, Kimberly Whetsell-Martin and Gary Whetsell Jr. (Melissa); and her siblings, Hazel Cody, Nancy Lessman, Barbara Manis, Peggy Wilkerson, Tammy Fawbush and Scott Cole.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter, 3411 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601 or March of Dimes, 1550 Crystal Dr. Suite 1300, Arlington, VA 22202.
