She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Ward and Margaret Earp Ward; her sister Mary Radford; her husband Robert Miller; and her children, Darryl Byrd, Kevin Byrd, Joel Byrd and Kathy Byrd.

She is survived by : her siblings, J. R. Ward (Sandra), Paul Ward (Nadine), Betty Cochran and Pauline Honeycutt. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.
