With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Rowell Bennett (Lookout Mountain, Tennessee), born in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bennett and Florence Bennett; and his siblings, William, Gigi, Betty and Jim.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Smartt Bennett; his sons, Bill (Kem) of Birmingham, David (Kingsley) of Lookout Mountain and Jim (Jami) of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Will (Abby), Betsy Moffett (Cole), Hamilton, Mae Mae, Carter, Hunt, Brooks, Read and Sims; and his great grandchild Luke.
