He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Looney and Faylah Looney; and his son-in-law Terry Laws. He is survived by: his wife Faye Franklin Looney; his children, Michael Brent Looney (Kelli) and Kimberly Faye Laws (David Springer); his grandchildren, Tanner Looney (Katelin), Abby Laws Clifft (Jake) and Jacob Laws; his great grandchildren, Josslin Looney, Conrad Looney, Olive Clifft and Samuel Clifft; and his sisters, Sherry Peters and Vicki Gallien (Tom). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Loretto (110 N Main St, Loretto, TN 38469). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support macular degeneration research—a cause close to Gary's heart.
