He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Bishop and Margaret Bishop; and his sister Freida Stafford. He is survived by: his wife Karen McCollister Bishop; his children, Robin Bishop Webb (Ryan), Billy L. Bishop and Dr. Jason Sweeton (Sheryl); his grandsons, Justin Burnette, Billy Chad Lynn Purdy (Courtney) and Carter Costner (Nikki); his great grandchild Aria Kate Purdy; and his close friend Coal.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Loudon Funeral Home (2048 Mulberry St, Loudon, TN 37774). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery (14792 Vonore Rd, Loudon, TN 37774).
