He was predeceased by : his parents, Jess Russell and Susie Russell; his parents-in-law, Walter and Thressie Kirkland; his brother-in-law Bobby Dotson; and his nephew Justin Dotson.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Russell; his sons, Brent Russell (Gidget) and Derek Russell (Richelle Jones); his grandchildren, Makenna Russell, Brody Russell, Keith Frank, Chase Lane and Austin Lane; and his sister-in-law Wilma Dotson. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Loudon Funeral Home (2048 Mulberry St, Loudon, TN 37774). A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at 100 Cemetery Rd, Loudon, TN 37774. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Loudon Funeral Home (2048 Mulberry St, Loudon, TN 37774).
