He was predeceased by: his wife Aggie Wager; his parents, Flora Wager and Martin Wager; and his brother Martin Wager. He is survived by: his children, Anita (Maurice Menocal) of Nashville, Tennessee and Bart (James, Jr.); his grandchildren, Lana Wager of Richmond, Virginia and Joseph (Anna Garcia-Menocal) of Madison, Wisconsin; and his siblings-in-law, Junia Wager and Tom (Nancy Carson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
