He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Everett and Margaret Everett; his siblings, Luther Everett, Raymond "Bottle" Everett and Lila Simerly; and his stepson Sergeant Chris Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Everett; his children, Kent Everett (Lori), Angie Houston (C. B.) and Missy Smith (Dan); and his grandchildren, Aaron Everett, Ben Everett, Emily Bunn, Clay Jenkins, Brody Houston, Blaine Houston, Chloee Jenkins, Jaxson Smith and Gabe Smith. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church (4900 Harrison Rd, Lenoir City, TN 37771). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Steekee Cemetery (778 Steekee Rd, Loudon, TN 37774).
