She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Harris and Ethel Harris; her son George Backus; her siblings, Leo Harris and Janet Blandin; and her sons-in-law, Steve Sutton and Mark Love.

She is survived by: her husband William Backus; her children, Landon (Teresa), Jeff (Dana) and Laura Sutton; her siblings, Betty McCoy and Jerry Harris (Sharon); and her daughter-in-law Trish Backus. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to the Youth Group at Partnership Christian Church.
