David Leon Powell Obituary

We announce the death of David Leon Powell of Luttrell, Tennessee, who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 50. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Norman Powell. He is survived by: his friends, Perez, Ricardo, Tony, Budweiser and Big; his wife Sarah Powell; his daughter Emily Powell (Mini-Me); his mother Sally Starrett; his siblings, Scott Powell (Maire) of Tennessee, Mark Powell of Hawaii and Melissa (David) of Texas; and his aunt Deborah (Jerry). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Academy (7706 Ewing Rd Powell, TN 37849).
