He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ellis Powell, Jr. and Syble Pierce Powell Boone; his wife Debbie Kay Malugin Powell; and his brother Walter Powell. He is survived by: his children, Christy Curtis, Joshua Powell, Jonathan Powell (Amber), Freddy Shane Powell and Samantha Powell; and his sister Sarah Christian (Michael). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
