He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Buck" Jessie Rust, Jr. and Johnnie Todd Rust (Holt); his sister Hilda Rust Jones; his brother-in-law John Steven Jones; and his brother Arthur Jessie Rust III.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Gail Rust (Cathey); his children, Kimberly Welte (Mark) of Cookeville, TN and Joseph Kasey Rust of Lyles, TN; and his grandchildren, Emily Webb (Zach) of Sparta, TN and Luke Welte (Gabrielle) of Barberton, OH..
