He was predeceased by: his parents, Adnes Watson and Helen Irene Dodson Alford; his wife Martha Elizabeth Neal Watson; his grandson Cody Wayne Reed; and his siblings, Nellie Sue Thompson, Richard Glenn Watson and Dennis Paul Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth "Bonnie" Crabtree (Jeff) of Unionville, Ellen Bailey and Billie Jo Pursley (James) of Tullahoma; his siblings, Mattie Marie Prince of Lynchburg, Sarah Irene Watson of Winchester, Danny Lynn Watson and Roger Adnes Watson of Winchester; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Crosslin, Ashley Certain, Kirsten Stevens, Calah Stevens, Gage Throneberry and Jared Acklen. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (1802 Madison St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
