It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Patterson Smith of Lynchburg, Tennessee, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Patterson and Berris Burton Patterson; her husband Walbert Smith; her son Jimmy Lee Smith; and her sisters, Alene Parks and Georgia Ruth Hatfield.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Johnathan Smith (Crystal) of Lynchburg and Jeremy Smith (Corie) of Estill Springs; and her great grandchildren, Alexandra Smith, Deborah Jean Smith, William Smith, Chaney Smith, Dixie Smith, Phebe Matthews and Sawyer Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Ms. Smith and breast cancer awareness month.
