She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Bateman and Florence Martin Bateman; her husband Richard McGee; and her siblings, Billy, Jack Bateman, Shirley Gowen, Virginia Parks and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, David McGee of Lynchburg, Dale McGee (Lenae) of Lynchburg and Dwight McGee (Kathy) of Lynchburg; her sisters, Helen Metcalf of Lynchburg and Faye Trail of Manchester; her grandchildren, Hunter McGee (Taylor) of Lynchburg, Tennessee., Austen McGee (Bailey) of Lynchburg, Tennessee., Kayla Matlock (Dakota) of Lynchburg, Tennessee. and Jake McGee of Lynchburg, Tennessee.; and her great grandchildren, Harper Matlock, Parker Matlock, Denver Matlock and Colten McGee.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lynchburg Funeral Home (1630 Fayetteville Hwy, Lynchburg, TN 37352). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
