He was predeceased by: his parents, Honor Coleman and Elsie Viola McGill Townsend; his wife Pauline Adams Townsend; and his sister Cleo Shelton. He is survived by: his children, Roger Leo Townsend of Pulaski and Jennifer Wilson (David) of Lynnville; his sister Sue Goar (Charles) of Laverne; his grandchildren, Levi Townsend (Courtney), Sarah Mueller (Jeff), Shelby Pewitt (Trey) and Landon Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Robert, Silas, Gus, Talullah, Llewyn and Colt. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
