She was predeceased by: her parents, John, Sr. Dowlen and Rosa Koonce Dowlen; her son Evan Dale; and her brother John Ernest Dowlen, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Deidre Dale (Donovan Harris); her grandchildren, Frances Dale (Hunter Goodwin), Chandler Dale (Rachel), Derrick Dale, Christian Dale, Star Dale, Rachel Harris and Belle Harris; her sister Margaret Storey; and her nieces and nephews, Kenny Crowson, Chris Crowson, Rina Lieberman and Shana Beroukas.
