He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell Grier and Pearl Grier; his brother Jerry Grier; his stepsons, Terry and Wayne Harris; and his granddaughter Ashley Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his sisters, Pat Glancie and Rita Hudson of Jasper; his stepchildren, Tammy Green (Darrell) of Kingston and Phillip Harris (Lorrie) of Tellico Plains; his grandson Steven Harris (Nancy); his great grandchildren, Ashlyn (Georgia) of Cartersville, Trevor and Trenton Harris of Adairsville, Georgia.; and his niece Sherry Hall (Kay McDaniel).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
