He was predeceased by: his parents, Reed Mangis and Juanita Holloway Mangis of Madisonville; his sister Marie (Clayton Garren); his former wife Margie Denton Mangis; his brother Leon Mangis; his nephew Mike Garren; and his cousin Bill Hatmaker.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Joyce Mangis; his daughter Betty Mangis Elliott (Rick) of Ooltewah; his stepdaughter Shana Bailey (Keith) of Athens; his grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Sabrina Steele (Shelby), Miranda Hyde, Travis Dentino and Allysha Dentino; and his great grandchildren, Leonidas, Penelope, G. W., Serenity, Bryson, Emmy, Malcolm and Hazel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Biereley-Hale Funeral Home (4650 US-411, Madisonville, TN 37354-1565). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
