He was predeceased by: his parents, Juel Nelson and Joseph "Judd" Nelson. He is survived by: his significant other Martina "Tina" Nelson; his son Joshua Nelson (Chassity); his stepsons, Jeff Murray (Karen), Ben Murray (Annaliese), Duane Murray and Michael McLemore; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Rolen; his grandchildren, Shawna Richesin (Brady), Amber, Jackson, Garrett, Gavin, Gideon, Gibson Murray, Aden Kamps and Timber Plaugher; his niece Kayla Herron; his nephew Travis Kyker; and his pets, Gotti and Robert.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Scott's name and memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or make a donation to the Sonrise Assembly of God Church in his honor.
