He was predeceased by: his daughter April; his son-in-law Jimmy Jenkins; his parents, Dewey Dotson and Evie Reynolds Dotson; and his siblings, Barbara Lankford, Shirley Plemons, Aldern Hall, Jewel Tuttle, Patricia Brooks and Randy Farris.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Wiseman Dotson; his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Charles White; his grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Jerry Davis, Gerald (Geraldbo), Brittany Jenkins, Joshua White (Jabo), Brian (Briano) and Donna Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Jaley White (LuLu), Kyree Jenkins, Bentley Major (Needs Glasses) and Isabella White; his siblings, Fannie Rae (Kerry Cansler), Elvina (Jimmy Cogdill), Ronnie Dotson and Gerald Dotson (Moonie); and his sister-in-law Becky Farris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biereley-Hale Funeral Home (4650 US-411, Madisonville, TN 37354). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Biereley-Hale Chapel (4650 US-411, Madisonville, TN 37354). A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hiwassee Church of God (470 Short Bark Rd, Madisonville, TN 37354).
