With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lawrence D. Holmes of Madisonville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lawrence left this world on June 12, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Holmes and Hazel La Fountain Holmes; his siblings, Jean Holmes, Wilmer and Edgar Holmes; and his daughter-in-law Laura Holmes.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Holmes; his son Daniel Holmes of Ten Mile, TN; his grandchildren, Angela Dauphinais of Angier, NC and David Holmes of Madisonville; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Abigail Moore, Braiden Holmes, Jack Hagenburg, Aidan Day and Coby Wilshusen; and his brother Theodore Holmes (Phyllis) of Kenansville, NC.
