He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Dye and Mayme Philpott Dye; his sister Jimmie; and his siblings-in-law, Sam Robinson and Tracey Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Davis Dye; his children, Rob Dye of Goose Creek, SC and Rachel Dye Cook; his son-in-law Mandel Cook of Soddy Daisy, TN; his grandson Brock Davis Cook; his brother Ronnie; his sister-in-law Ann Dye of Madisonville; his sister Glenn Lintemuth of Coker Creek; and his brother-in-law John Davis of Sweetwater.
