He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Beard; his parents, Robert L. Beard Sr. and Violet H. Beard (Carroll); and his daughter Gwendolyn Hudson. He is survived by: his daughter Kim Beard; his grandchildren, Parker Hudson (Kayla), Alexandra Hudson and Preston Hudson; his sister Joyce Tibbs (Larry); his nephews, Patrick Tibbs and Jeremiah Tibbs; and his niece Lisa Tibbs.
