He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Freeze and Naomi Freeze; his wife Helen Freeze; and his siblings, Jean Freeze, Ray Freeze, Ronnie Freeze, Billy Freeze, Barbara Bruce and Faye Leonard.

He is survived by: his children, Jason Freeze (Amy), Brock Freeze (Andrea) and Kora McIntosh (Justin); his grandchildren, Brooke Freeze, Jake Freeze, Alyssa Freeze, Aliza Freeze, Branham Freeze, Braylon Freeze, Ava McIntosh and Myles McIntosh; and his brothers, Donnie Freeze and Wayne Freeze.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Manchester Funeral Home (786 McMinnville Hwy, Manchester, TN 37355). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dusty Elam Foundation and The Potters Children's Home in Boyd's memory.
