He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge Hickerson and Florence Hickerson; and his sister Genvea. He is survived by: his wife Delores Hickerson; his daughter Dana; his grandchildren, Reed, Wyatt and Darby; and his siblings, Jewell, Betty, Barbara (Vance), Pat, Jimmy (Brenda), Billy (Cynthia), Tommy (Pearline), Bobby (Tracy) and Jerry (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Don's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
