It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elder Gordon Earps of Manchester, Tennessee, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Elder had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Elder may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cordell Earps and Evelyn Earps; and his former wife Martha S. Earps. He is survived by: his wife Jane Earps; and his children, Michael Earps, Marcus Lambert and Pamela Russell. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
