Ellie Ladora Phillips Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Ellie Ladora Phillips of Manchester, Tennessee. Ellie, born on September 15, 1935, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis T. Gwin and Zannie L. Gwin; and her husband James J. Phillips. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Baye (Danny), Carla Hall (Tim), Daphna Burney and Sharon Vest; and her grandchildren, Tyler Bell (Elizabeth), Jordan Bell, Marisa Vest and Melodie Turner (Michael). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kilgore Funeral Home (215 Mitchell Blvd, Tullahoma, TN 37388). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Flowers are appreciated, and donations to The Alzheimer's Association of Middle TN, The Macular Degeneration Association, The Arthritis Foundation of Tennessee, or Good Samaritan of Manchester are certainly welcomed as well.
