He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stanley Mason, Sr. and Bessie Powers Mason; and his siblings, Phyllis Ann Swan, Cherry Gail Russ and James Stanley Mason, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mason; his son Ryan Mason; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Swan and Janice Mason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
