He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Elam and Eula Mable Bowman Elam; his son Dusty Elam; and his siblings, Mary Margette Keele, Delois Parker, Lynward Elam, Austin Elam, Imogene Demintoff and Edgar Elam.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Chris Elam (Kristen), Sonya Stephenson (Keith) and Sarah Beth Elam (Keith Adams); and his grandchildren, Selvin Stephenson, Cooper Elam, Sawyer Elam, Boone Adams and Reese Elam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dusty Elam Foundation.
