He was predeceased by: his parents, James Duncan and Judith Dye Duncan; his brother Stephen Duncan; and his sister-in-law Angie Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Galbreath Duncan; his children, Landon Duncan and Julia Cregger (Brian); his siblings, Jim Duncan (Stephanie), Kirk Duncan (Jollon) and Justine Dillon (Neal); and his grandchildren, Isaiah Vaughn, Olivia Vaughn, Emary Kinsey, Cameron Kinsey, Tucker Kinsey, Jude Michael Kinsey and Cora Kinsey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
