We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2025, at the age of 92, Minerva Florence Espy of Manchester, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nath Alford and Lucy Finley Alford; her husband John H. Banks; her son Jerry Banks; and her siblings, Tom Alford, George Alford, Billy Alford, Marion Alford, Bobby Alford and Annie Ruth Prater.
She is survived by: her children, Joann Thomas of Manchester, TN, Sheila McCurry of Manchester, TN and John D. Banks of Bradyville, TN; her grandchildren, Amy Rutledge (Marc), Jeremy Banks (Rick), Rodney McCurry (Jennifer), Cody McCurry and Stephanie Corneilson (Daylon); and her siblings, Mary Johnson of Woodbury, TN, Henry Alford (Carolyn) of Woodbury, TN and Donnie Alford (Jan) of Jackson, TN.. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Manchester Funeral Home (786 McMinnville Hwy, Manchester, TN 37355). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Amity Cemetery (9270 Foster Ln, Bradyville, TN 37026).
