He was predeceased by: his wife Pattie Jane Capps Boyd; his parents, John William "Willie" Boyd and Elzie Grissom Boyd; and his siblings, Bill "Hoppy" Boyd, Madge Boyd May and Myra Boyd.
He is survived by: his sons, Bradley Kent Boyd (Cindy) of Martin and Bartley Kevin Boyd (Angie) of Cleveland; his granddaughters, Chelsea Boyd (Brad) of Oxford and Rachel Boyd (Bart) of Chattanooga, Tennessee.; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Boyd (Sandra) and Hilda Boyd Griggs (Jesse).
