We announce the death of Ottis Barron (Martin, Tennessee), who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 89. Ottis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Lucy Brewer Barron and Winfred Lee Barron (and late parents Winfred Barron and Lucy Brewer Barron Ripple Thornhill); wife: Rhelda; daughters: Cynthia Rogers, Gwendolyn (Rodger) Scarborough, and the late Vicki Morgan; sisters: Linda Martin, Shirley Sylvester, and Jackie Hutchings; sons-in-law: the late Avery Morgan, Timothy Redmond, and Stephen Rogers; grandchildren: Rebecca Rogers, Christian Rogers, Joshua (Hannah) Redmond, Aaron (Crystal) Redmond, Lucy (Blake) Holman, Melissa (Paul) Robertson, Andrea Morgan, Shannon (Darius) Thompson, and the late Jacob Rogers and Dustin Morgan; grandparents: the late grandparents; and an abundance of great-grandchildren and the late great-granddaughter Elizabeth Redmond.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (123 University St, Martin, TN 38237).
